How does it work?
The anti-wrinkle product is injected into the skin (not muscle) and stops the processes that lead to activating the sweat glands in the area. This doesn’t affect your ability to sweat elsewhere, but should leave the treated area dry for months to come.
What happens during treatment?
Depending on the severity of the sweating, we might perform an iodine starch test in your underarms. This is a simple stain test which tells the doctors exactly where your greatest sweat points are.
Following this, the doctor will clean your underarm and mark out injection points that identify where your sweat glands are most active. A series of shallow injections with small doses of anti wrinkle product will be placed into the skin of each of your underarms. This is where the sweat glands are.
