First-Step Consultation Essentials
What's the aim?: To make sure your first-appointment is not rushed so that you get all the information you need to make good decisions about treatments. To discuss your concerns and the tools we have at our disposal to address them.
Assessment: A good consultation and assessment of your concerns with appropriate photography.
Time Taken: Up to 45mins for your first visit.
Treatment: Some treatments may be performed but this is not the aim. It's fine if you want to go away and think about it.
Comfort: This is an open-ended discussion with an expert. Bring all your questions and we will answer them forthrightly and with honesty.
What are the benefits of this consultation?: It's all about creating a space where you can ask the questions you want without time pressure. This should give you confidence in us, and what we've been doing for 16 plus years.
Cost: €200 redeemable off the cost of treatment. Returned to you if you are not suitable for treatment.
First Steps – The Comprehensive Consultation
The first step into cosmetic injectables can be unnerving for some people. Having treated 80,000 plus patients, we understand this at Amara.
This has led us to develop a pathway for first-time patients who may be nervous, confused, anxious or all three.
Your first step consultation with us will be an appointment of up to 45min. In this no-rush session, we will take time to properly understand what you’ve come to us for, answer all your questions about our fool catalogue of services, and give you honest guidance on how we can help.
What are consultations in aesthetic clinics usually like?
When you book into most aesthetic clinics for the first time you are given 15-20mins with a doctor. During this time you are expected to:
- meet the doctor & develop a rapport
- discuss your concerns
- have a consultation and an assessment
- take photos
- plan a treatment
- run through questions and concerns
- decide then and there if it’s for you
- prep for treatment
- receive the treatment
- discuss aftercare
This can be overwhelming and feel rushed, especially if it’s your first time.
What we know about first-time patients at Amara.
You have questions.
You don’t know if botox or filler is best for you?
Will you look done?
You want to know more about profhilo and its results and how it’s different from filler?
You noticed a small concern you’ve had for a while become a little more prominent in the last year and you want to know more about what can be done about it?
Will 1ml of filler do that much?
Instagram tells you this treatment is great while TikTok tells you it’s dangerous – which is it?
Do injections hurt?
There are several expensive new treatments with lasers, radio frequency, thread lifting and needling – but do any of them work?
What kind of skincare will suit your skin in particular?
Google has done nothing but confuse you, or worse, made you scared.
How does Amara Clinic make it easier for first-timers?
The Comprehensive Consultation is more detailed, more personalized, and more geared toward giving you the best information you need.
This enables you to make better decisions about the cosmetic treatments you’re curious about.
For your first visit, we allocate up to 45mins with an Amara doctor where you can discuss as little or as much as you’d like in a consultation that’s not rushed.
It is about creating a long-term relationship with an expert practitioner who has your best interests at heart.
What is involved in The Comprehensive Consultation?
In a Comprehensive Consultation, we spend 45mins understanding what you’ve come to us for and paying attention to your concerns and questions. Photography, assessment and planning will take place but there is no obligation to treat at this first-time appointment. And this means you can relax and ask all the questions you want.
We want you to go away after your first-step consultation feeling confident in us and the plan our doctors have for you.
What the Comprehensive Consultation is not.
- It is not a sales pitch
- It is not where we force you into a chair to have treatment
- It is not about discussing anything you don’t want to discuss
- It is not rushed
No one that comes to us ‘needs’ anything. But if something is bothering you, we can help. Our reviews may help you understand our philosophy.
Why should I undertake a comprehensive assessment?
It is the surest way to you making good decisions about treatments that can address your concerns. We want you to feel comfortable with us and what we do.
The more you know, the more you can discuss with us, and the better your results. Our subtle, natural results that last philosophy will have your friends asking you what your secret is.
Treatment fads come and go. Popping in to see an aesthetician for a specific treatment once or twice a year is fine. But attending someone who knows your face, who has been there for the journey, and with whom you’ve discussed your needs is a much better idea.
Why should I attend Amara Clinic?
We have your best interests at heart and want you to feel confident in what we do.
We own our beautiful city centre clinic in the Georgian Quarter of Dublin.
Our doctors only work in aesthetics and only work in Ireland. This means you’ll always be able to contact your doctor for ongoing advice.
We have over 20 years of experience with high-quality products, training with world-leading injectors, and expert-level competency with the best techniques behind us.
We are a medical clinic first and foremost, which means we take safety seriously and are responsible to you.
We politely decline to treat 1 in 10 clients because performing the treatment they want is unsafe or will not benefit them.
How much does the comprehensive consultation cost?
This first-step consultation with the doctor lasts up to 45mins, and the cost is €200.
This is redeemable off the cost of any treatment you receive within a month of the session.
It is returned to you if you are not suitable for treatment.
Will I receive treatment on the day?
If you wish to proceed and you are satisfied with what you have heard, then yes, some treatments may be performed.
If not we can rearrange a session for another day. You will never be forced into a treatment chair in Amara.
The main objective of your first session is to plan a pathway for you with an eye to the future. It’s not about rushing you into having procedures done.
Your first step into the realm of cosmetic injectables should be a confident one.
