VISIA – Skin Consultation Essentials


Area Treated: The the skin of the face.
Assessment: A comprehensive full face, multiangle assessment of skin properties and quality delivering an accurate report about the condition of your skin.
Time: The photos take a minute to perform, and the report is published in seconds. Including the consultation with a skin specialist, the total session time is 45 mins.
Comfort: Rest your shin on the mount and close your eyes. There is no discomfort at all associated with VISIA.
Results: There are several report formats depending on what your main objective is. Once we have the data, our Skin Health Specialists will be able to discuss how we can achieve your goals by offering you corrective advice based on the results of your scan.

What is VISIA?

VISIA is the most powerful skin analysis tool on the market today. The multiangle and multimodal camera uses cross-polarized and UV lighting to record and measure the surface and subsurface condition of your skin.

The software integrated with the camera then creates images for quantitative analysis, providing a powerful album of images that allow for the most comprehensive visual assessment of your skin available today. This allows us to give you programs that are known to work in improving the areas of your skin health you want to be improved.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What does a VISIA analysis show me?

A VISIA consultation allows us to analyse the condition of your skin from the point of view of:

  • Spots – brown or red skin marks that vary from your skin colour
  • Wrinkles – furrows folds and creases that may develop into permanent lines
  • Texture – variations on the skin surface affecting smoothness
  • Pores – the size of the opening of your sweat gland ducts
  • UV Spots – the presence of sun damages areas of your face
  • Brow Spots – pigmentation beneath the surface of your skin
  • Red Areas – areas where red colour is concentrated, a sign of multiple conditions
  • Porphyrins – bacterial secretions on the surface of your skin, usually near pores

 

 

 

What is done with all this information?

The VISIA analysis creates a report that positions the condition of your skin versus the general population. This allows our skin specialists and doctors to help you address areas where you have concerns and are looking for improvement. This is done by way of recommending programs you can undertake to improve your skin. Programs may involve machine-led treatments like Hydrafacial, microneedling, or Laser IPL with the Lumenis M22.

Facial injectable options will be provided where applicable too. Most importantly, our specialists will be able to design skin cream regimes to help you improve your skin health and appearance. The real work for consistently great skin is done at home.

What is involved in a VISIA analysis?

The process itself takes only a few minutes.

We position your face in the brackets on the mount, you close your eyes and we take 3 photographs.

The reports generate in a matter of seconds which allows us to have a chat with you about your skin in the quickest, and most accurate way possible.

The information provided is invaluable to us as we work with you to achieve your skin goals.

Dr Mylene is fantastic..she really listens to your concerns and makes sure you get the best results possible. I have had several treatments at Amara with Dr Paul and more recently with Dr Mylene and the treatments are of the highest quality and thr Dr's are so friendly and professional. I have tried other places for my treatments as I live a good distance away from the clinic , but I always return to Amara .

Everything was explained in detail with plenty of time allocated to the appointment, no rushing, absolutely no hard sell on products and kind service all the way around! I have had quite a few Hydrafacials at different clinics in Dublin, and back home in Copenhagen as well, but this clinic is so far the best.The therapist was lovely and she just really knew what she was doing. She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed while guiding me through the treatment.I also had a lot of questions regarding skin care and products because I have had some problems with acne and she took her time to answer all my questions without making me feel pressured to buy the products she was recommending me, which is important to me.I found my visit to the clinic to be excellent. I love this clinic!! I have been going here for over 5 years and although it is a huge trek for me I won’t ever go anywhere else for my skincare. The doctors and staff are so friendly and helpful and I cannot stress this point enough. I am not the kind of girl that gets regular facials or would follow a strict 6 step nightly skin regime. In fact, I would normally find this type of place daunting because I often feel judgement for not “being better” with this stuff. At Amara I have never felt like this. Everyone there always makes me feel so comfortable and genuinely wants to help me feel the best I can. I haven’t yet mentioned the results which are always incredible from the few things I’ve had done there . I am always so happily surprised by the results and the clinic is always so amazing with follow up appointments if necessary. I cannot vouch enough for this clinic!

An unusual but very important review....Amara was very highly recommended to me by a colleague. I purchased a €2,000 voucher from Amara for my wife as a 50th birthday present. Needless to say, she was ecstatic. Due to Covid 19 financial difficulties, we reluctantly decided not to utilise the voucher and to request a refund....6 months later. These are terribly difficult times for businesses, so I felt more than a little embarassed and not very hopeful. I am 50 years old and have been around the block a few times, I have never encountered such professionalism and simple humanity. Never a question, I was fully refunded to my huge relief and complete satisfaction. This company clearly has a wonderful and primary customer care ethos. My first visit to Amara (it won't be the last!) was excellent. Paul has such an easy manner, I felt very comfortable and at ease immediately. Everything was explained in detail so I knew exactly what was being done and why. There was no pushy sales technique - if anything it is evident that they will only do work that will benefit you - you won't pay for unnecessary treatments and any treatments you do have will be done with an emphasis on looking natural rather than 'done'. I had my first hyrdafacial treatment here, and loved it so much I’ve already booked another! The treatment itself is amazing, my skin was left feeling wonderful, and the benefits were noticeable straight away, and I my skin was noticeably soft and smooth for several weeks after the treatment.
