Don't know what you want? Trust us to help you decide.
Over the past 12 years, we have developed a reputation for giving honest advice with the patient’s best interests at heart. We aim to deliver results that improve the confidence of those who come to see us. A considerable part of building this trust with our patients is due to our consultations.
If you’ve ever asked yourself one of these questions, then we can help:
– Will anti-wrinkle injections help me?
– If I don’t want to start anti-wrinkle injections yet, what other options do I have?
– Would dermal filler fix my concern?
– Will I look done or overworked if I get facial injectables?
– Is there anything that can help me hydrate my skin?
– I want to improve my skin quality, but how do I know where to start?
– Are facial injectables going to be worth it?
At Amara, we understand that you may have many questions and that a 15-minute appointment may not be enough time to go through them all in a way that helps you make a decision you’re comfortable with.
This is why extended consultations are offered to all first-time Amara patients. Here, you’ll have up to 45 minutes to discuss your concerns with an expert Amara aesthetic doctor. They will communicate all your options and give their opinion on how they think it’s best to proceed. Together you can decide on how to get the results you want.

Frequently Asked Questions
+ - Do I have to have a consulation before treatment?
Yes. All treatments of a medical nature require a consultation beforehand. We offer a first-time consultation of up to 45 minutes to ensure this consultation isn't rushed. Most clinics only offer a 15-minute consultation AND treatment, which is too time-constrained in our view.
+ - If I have a consultation can I get treated on the day?
This depends on the treatment plan devised by your doctor. More straightforward treatments like anti-wrinkle injections can be performed in 10 minutes, so they can be performed on the day if, following a consultation, you have time. Other more complicated treatments, like multi-area dermal filler procedures, may require you to come back for a dedicated treatment appointment.
+ - What if I want to go away and think about it?
This is absolutely fine. The whole purpose of this long consultation is to ensure you're comfortable with the treatment plan and what's going to happen. If you need to go away and think about it, do so. As long as you proceed to treatment within a month of the consultation, then the consultation fee is deducted from the cost of treatment.
+ - I know what I want, I don't need a 45 minute consultation. What now?
The purpose of allocating up to 45 minutes is to ensure there is enough time for any questions. Many people do not use the full-time slot available to them, as they are comfortable with a shorter consultation. As long as the doctor assesses the treatment you are seeking is safe, that it will benefit you, and you agree to the plan and have no other questions, you do not have to use the full 45 mins.
This is about not rushing rather than making something longer than it needs to be.
+ - If after my first-time consultation I decide not to proceed to treatment, do I get my consultation fee back?
No. The fee is redeemable against any treatment received within a month of the consultation, but beyond that, or if you decide you do not wish to proceed, the fee stands.
+ - Does the consultation fee come off the cost of treatment?
Yes. If you are treated on the day or within a month (30 days) of the consultation, the fee comes off the cost of any procedure you receive.
