Last week, I had to rush my wife Anita’s treatment. She asks for cosmetic treatments every couple of months, often sooner than she actually needs them. But because I’m constantly busy traveling between Dublin and Warsaw, there’s always a conflict—we never quite find the perfect time.
I’ve been treating Anita for 15 years now. She’s 38, and this video shows exactly how I approach her treatments to ensure she always looks natural.
Over the years, Anita has had everything from Botox to dermal fillers, nucleotides, Profhilo, and other skin boosters. She’s tried every machine treatment possible—Hydrafacial, microneedling, radiofrequency, laser, IPL—you name it, she’s had it. When it comes to skincare, her go-to is Zainab Bazzi’s professional-grade products, though she’s experimented with everything from Korean skincare to countless other brands.
The foundation of any aesthetic treatment is good skincare. Anita follows a strict regimen using professional-grade products. She double cleanses, exfoliates, and applies active ingredients like retinol, adjusting her routine between once or twice daily depending on the product.
One non-negotiable? Sunscreen. She religiously applies SPF to prevent skin damage. However, one major mistake she makes—she smokes. This should have had a much worse effect on her skin, but thanks to everything else she does, the visible damage has been minimized. (At least on the outside.)
There are two key rules for maintaining a natural look with Botox:
Ironically, more frequent Botox makes you look more natural—but only if you’re using a smaller dose. Small doses don’t last as long, so they need to be topped up more often. In my opinion, Botox should last around 3–4 months. Any longer, and it can start to look unnatural.
The goal is to preserve natural movement and expression, especially for someone like Anita, who is always in front of a camera for TV and YouTube. People want to see real emotions, not a frozen face.
Regular skin booster treatments keep the skin hydrated, firm, and healthy—almost like taking care of your body with proper nutrition and exercise. Think of them as an extra level of support for the skin, reducing the need for more invasive treatments over time.
The key to natural-looking filler? Photos.
One of the biggest mistakes cosmetic doctors make is forgetting what their patient originally looked like. Seeing someone every few months for 15 years can desensitize you to gradual changes. That’s how overfilled, unnatural results happen—because doctors don’t realize how much they’ve gradually altered someone’s face.
To prevent this, I always take photographs before and after every filler treatment for Anita. This allows me to objectively compare her current face to past images and make informed decisions on what actually needs to be done.
Another rule? Do less than you think is needed.
We all tend to overestimate our "biggest flaw," but in reality, it’s never as bad as we think. And we have to accept that aging is a battle that can’t be won—only managed.
Never try to look more than 25% younger than your real age. If you look 25% younger, that’s enough!
For example:
This ensures a refreshed, youthful appearance—without pushing it too far. The moment you try to look too young, you risk looking unnatural.
Watch the video and let me know what you think. We had fun making it, and I hope you find it insightful!
