IPL Laser Skin Rejuvenation

What is IPL?

Improving the tone of your skin is one of the most overlooked improvements you can make. Pigment, redness, and general skin quality can be improved with IPL. As every person is different, it is difficult to know what exactly is required for a person but generally speaking, our patients start with treatment of the face, and often add the neck and the decolletage (chest). These areas are exposed to the sun in different degrees due to the angle, the amount of time we keep them exposed and how diligent we are with suncream. Also some areas are more sensitive to redness than others. A consultation is the best place to start, but as a general guide patients typically need anything from 2 to 4 treatments. Maintenance treatments can be done every 6-12 months.

What Does IPL Laser Treatment Do?

Intense Pulsed Light (or IPL) effectively rejuvenates your skin by targeting specific skin cells responsible for a number of very common skin concerns. It also increases cellular turnover and upscales the production of collagen.

Wake up Your Complexion with IPL Treatment

IPL uses broad-spectrum light technology to brighten pigmented areas and stop blood flow to broken capillaries, so they’ll no longer be visible. The process also speeds up cell regeneration and boosts collagen, so the skin looks refreshed. This collagen boost makes it a good treatment choice for early signs of aging like fine lines as the new collagen layers will be tighter, smoothing out the fine lines. As IPL treatment evens out your skin tone, this can also make you appear younger.

For those looking to further enhance their skin’s texture and firmness, Profhilo treatment at Amara Clinic offers a unique approach to skin hydration and bio-remodeling, perfectly complementing the benefits of IPL.

An Easy IPL Treatment with Minimal Discomfort

At Amara Clinic, your safety is paramount, so we’ll conduct a thorough consultation with a patch test before any laser treatment to ensure it will work for your skin. During your treatments, you will feel heat with a slight stinging or snapping feeling, but our patients find this tolerable, and it should not last for more than a few minutes after your treatment. After the treatment, you may experience some redness or tingling on the treated area, and must protect the area from sun exposure, but there’s no real recovery time. Each session takes 30-60 minutes depending on the area so it’s a quick treatment. Depending on your skin concerns it’s usually advisable to have around 4 initial treatments, and you’ll see some brightening, refreshed results straight away. You’ll see final results a few days after your last treatment and then you’re likely to only need top-ups annually.

Additionally, Amara Clinic’s Microneedling service offers a synergistic effect to IPL by promoting collagen production through minimally invasive techniques, ideal for those seeking comprehensive skin rejuvenation.

Target Multiple Concerns with One IPL Treatment Plan

As IPL treatment is effective against many skin complaints it’s a good choice if you have multiple issues you’d like to address at once and is suitable for use at any age. For example, it can reduce the redness from rosacea while simultaneously treating enlarged pores. At Amara, we provide natural cosmetic treatments that keep people coming back again and again, so we usually say if anyone can tell you’ve had work done it is bad work, but we have to say with IPL the results can be dramatic so people will likely notice. We don’t think anyone will judge your new smooth skin though, they’ll just want to know how they can get the same effect.

Everything Barbara told me about EmFace turned out to be true. Don't think there's an easier treatment out there!

I work in a client-facing job so I am always concerned about looking overdone or having bruises. Amara are very aware that this is a concern for a lot of people and it's why I choose them. It's also nice that I always see other men getting treatments whenever I'm there.

I'm a photographer so maybe I pay a little more attention to facial details than other people. I came to amara with a concern and Roisin advised several options and I chose EmFace and it has fixed my issue perfectly.
