I received a HydraFacial from Julie today and I must say, I feel completely rejuvenated. Julie made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The treatment itself was fantastic, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I look forward to returning in the future.

I had my fourth and last Exion treatment with Amara on Wednesday this week - the first three were taken care of by Roisin, who was brilliant and gentle, and also always receptive to feedback and helpful with any concerns I had later. All the ladies in the clinic have always been warm and welcoming too. I was happy with the quality of the treatment and was looking forward to leaving a five-star review, but unfortunately feel compelled to take a star off because of how a genuine concern from my end was dealt with after my last treatment.Julie was assigned to administer my last treatment and on account of having had bruises on my skin after, I texted the clinic with my concerns and relevant photos (like I always did before, if there were any). Having been used to polite communication from Amara, it was a shock to receive a phone call from Julie where she was blatantly condescending. I don't take her tone and words personally because it was clear that she took my concern personally, which isn't on me. A basic customer concern had turned into her telling me that everything had already been outlined for me, I'd have to just be patient until my skin recovered and she has already told me all she could, assuming and claiming that I was unhappy because I had been used to a different aesthetician until then and most shocking of all -- how senior she is at the salon. She also went to the extent of asking me whether I had understood what she had said - I do not take that attitude from anyone, let alone someone I have paid to administer a service. She was so insistent on proving that she wasn't in the wrong that I wasn't even given a fair chance to speak - just had a load of her own assumptions thrown at me. When I highlighted this to her, she said that she called as soon as she saw my text and was trying to help by discussing my moisturising routine (which I have been aware of ever since I started getting the treatment). She also went on to tell me that she had discussed a product with me when I was in that I should really have been using since the beginning - because apparently my skin tone is more prone to hyperpigmentation post treatment - and also blamed my skin's reaction on me having had itchy eyes by saying it was because I had "hay fever" (which I never did) and high cortisol/stress levels. By the end, I felt like I was having to reassure her rather than her reassuring me. Phew.It was an exhausting conversation to have as a customer already stressed about my skin. She offered to have me go in to the clinic and put me under the lights to calm any redness if, in her words, "it would give me any peace of mind", but she kept denying the fact that it could be bruising (it most certainly is - I am not a professional aesthetician but I do know my skin better than anyone else), and also apologised "if" I felt a certain way. This whole interaction has quite obviously deterred me from returning. This is a shame, and irrespective, I maintain my stance - as already highlighted to the staff at the clinic - that my skin hasn't had this strong a reaction to the same treatment before.I think it's basic customer care etiquette to be receptive to feedback, and this was certainly not in line with the decorum and maturity expected of a staff member who claims to be so senior. Seniority also means nothing to me as I would be happier receiving better service and more respectful communication from someone who was newer. It was very disappointing that she had made it all about her, when none of it was. It's a pity that my last interaction with the clinic has left me with such a bitter taste in my mouth.

From the amazing reception to leaving the clinic, this was a 100% enjoyable experience. Kelly and Barbara on the reception are just pure joy, friendly, professional, and beyond welcoming. I had booked a hydra facial with Julie (more on that later) and a consultation with Dr Paul to discuss what I would like to have done.I was nervous and not sure what I would like to have done, also very nervous of been talked into treatment that I was not sure about. After a great informative chat with Dr Paul, I decided on profhilo as I was too nervous to go for Botox. I really respect that there was no pressure or hard sell. Just lots of good advice.Three months now and I am really happy with the profhilo, it has definitely moisturised my skin and evened out my skin tone.Hydra facial with Julie. This is one of my favourite treatments, the finish result is amazing skin, glowing clear complexion. Julie is a skin specialist, who educates you while working away with little gems of knowledge.I love going to the clinic not just for the facial, she is just the loveliest therapist and love the chats.Sorry for the long winded review, but I am so glad I came to the Amara clinic the whole team are simply amazing. So glad I found this place and very happy with the big improvement in my skin.Thank youLouise McCabe

I’m so glad I chose Amara for my first filler treatment. Dr Paul is amazing at what he does. I’m thrilled with the results. He’s after taking a few years off my face! The results are very natural. I also had a fantastic hydrafacial with Barbara. My skin is still glowing a week later. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I’ve been coming to Amara clinic for about 13 years. Dr Paul is excellent. His face freezing machine makes the injectable’s really tolerable and he never over-treats any area so the results look natural but still effective. Great clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions

A Hydrafacial treatment primarily focuses on the outermost layers of the skin, including the epidermis and upper dermis. It uses a gentle yet effective approach to cleanse the skin, extract impurities, and deliver nourishing serums to enhance skin hydration and overall appearance. While it may not penetrate as deeply as certain invasive procedures, it provides noticeable results with minimal downtime or discomfort.

The amount of product used during a Hydrafacial treatment can vary depending on the individual’s specific needs and the areas being treated. The treatment involves the application of specially formulated serums that are delivered to the skin through the Hydrafacial device. The exact quantity of product used may depend on factors such as the size of the treatment area and the desired outcome.

The cost of Hydrafacial treatments can vary depending on several factors, including the geographic location, the expertise of the skincare professional or clinic, and any additional add-ons or customized options chosen.

A pre injectible hydrafacial is 30 minutes long, a signature hydrafacial is 40 minutes long, a dermalux hydrafacial is 1 hour long including lights and finally a hydrafacial platinum is 75 minutes and includes a s choice of skin booster.

The super-glow following treatment usually lasts about a week. The tangible softness and benefits last longer, and generally 4-8 weeks. Regular treatments extend the length of time of the effects as your skin gets stronger and stronger and stays that way.

Visible results can be noticed after just one Hydrafacial treatment. However, for more significant and long-lasting improvements, a series of treatments is usually recommended. The number of sessions required depends on various factors, including your skin condition, concerns, and goals. Typically, a series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart can help achieve optimal results.

A Hydrafacial treatment is typically performed on the face, but it can also be done on other areas of the body, such as the neck, chest, or hands. The treatment is tailored to target specific concerns and areas of the skin that require hydration, deep cleansing, or rejuvenation.

The Hydrafacial procedure is generally well-tolerated and comfortable for most individuals. The treatment is designed to be gentle on the skin while delivering effective results. Patients may experience a mild sucking or swirling sensation during the cleansing and extraction steps, but it is typically not painful. If needed, a numbing cream can be applied before the treatment to minimize any potential discomfort.

Yes, Hydrafacial can be beneficial for individuals with acne-prone skin. The treatment helps address several aspects of acne, including deep cleansing, exfoliation, extraction of impurities, and hydration. It can also deliver specific serums with ingredients that target acne and inflammation, promoting a clearer and healthier complexion. However, the suitability of Hydrafacial for acne may vary depending on the severity of the condition and other individual factors.
